Where the scale comes from

Distances come from one published figure: Sepang is5.543 km a lap. The drawn track is measured at build time and matched to it, which gives3.05 m per unit of the map.

Inside a block, seats are drawn at an assumed 0.5 m apart across a row and 0.8 m between rows. Those are typical grandstand dimensions, not measurements taken at Sepang, so treat the scale bar as good to a few percent rather than exact.

Where a block sits along a stand is approximate, as it is everywhere on this site: the promoter's plans are schematics and say they are not to scale. What is exact is the arrangement of seats within a block, which is read straight from the official artwork.
